How to avoid malware on your computer

Malware Bite

All of us at one time or another have experienced malware on our computer systems.  What happens is that malware files get into the computer system and corrupt files and other software.  It can even affect the computer’s ability to function.  Malware programs are generally downloaded by complete accident.  Sometimes malware is hidden on pages that are viewed online.  You can remove malware bytes but you have to be very careful and know what you are doing.

A malware program many times will create a false security alert to get you to buy their preferred malware protection program.  These are annoying messages that are delivered by pop up messages that your computer is infected with spyware, viruses or malware.  DO NOT click into those messages or agree to download the software.  Make sure you read the boxes carefully because these can be tricky.

It is possible to manually remove the malware yourself if you are computer savvy, but this technique  is not recommended unless you know how to edit a registry and manually remove a file.  All of the files associated with the malware program must be completely removed or the malware will keep coming back.
You may get free scanning programs that are available for online use.  These programs are downloaded to your computer and will perform a legitimate scan of your computer to fine malware bytes or other files associated with the program.  These programs can be very effective in the removal of malware, spyware and computer viruses.  These programs are available at no cost to you.

DO NOT purchase the program that is recommended to you in pop up messages that are seen on your computer.  This is a malware program trying to trick you into buying their product.  When you purchase this particular product you will still have malware on your computer, or worse, will import more malware.  This is a complete waste of your money as well as a waste of time in lost productivity.

The best method to fight harmful programs is to use the free scanning software that works effectively to remove the latest programs that are out to harm your computer.  This will also help prevent your computer from getting infected in the first place.  You can also protect your computer by avoiding potentially harmful web sites.  Back out of the site if you get any type of warning on your screen that says the website is a harmful website.
